The music video was produced and directed by Emily herself. She said in a recent interview that she 'wanted to capture the feeling of losing hope, and I wanted to experiment with the idea of gaining it again. I want this to be more than just a typical video'. 

She also mentioned how she 'doesn't like the spotlight', and how she tries to maintain a 'humble approach' to everything, which is evident in this video. 

She features rarely, with one cameo at the beginning of her talking down a typical pedestrian road in her local area, and a few other shots of her signing. She said this was important to her to remain a backgrounded figure during proceedings, as she wanted the 'narrative to outplay the typical "Look at me!" approach that debut videos go for today'. Therefore, she opted the use of a young, tented actor, James Wilson, to act as the young boy who lost the hope of an athlete.

This touching narrative causes a great emotional debate within the audience, as we can quite evidently see the youngster in a tragic accident, and we see the effect of this on his life. 

However, the boy improves in his condition, and fights for what he believes in, with the help of his friends and the hope and dreams that he still has. Luna linked this to her personal goal in life, she stated that 'I wanted the character to represent me, in a way. I grew up in a small village in Manchester that nobody really knew of, yet it was so close to such a metropolis. I failed a few times with my career, as people shot me down and told me that I will never make it, teachers telling me to write instead of sing, I was never good at maths. I guess this character came to mind when I was writing the song, you see, as although I never had any tragic incidents (thank god!), I felt like my dreams were being harmed and my emotional state was decreasing, therefore I wanted to show this through physical representation of an aspiring young boy, instead of a girl who had a dream and was told otherwise'.

As well as this being a narrative about a boy who wants to be an athlete, it is about her finding out about herself too. She explained that she was 'desperate' to make this as good as it could be, because she felt that she had something to prove, and the song 'Changing' represents that fully.
